This is the last essential movement principle. Each movement principle is integrated with all the others & the exercises, to build stamina, endurance, skill & a total body workout.

By ‘Flow’ we mean flowing movements.

Pilates movements should be graceful, flowing, controlled and coming outwards from a strong centre.

The exercises should look ‘easy’, even though we know that they’re not !

And transition from one to another smoothly , with no wasted movement in bewtween i.e rolling down to 4pt kneeling, or rolling down into downward dog, side lying to prone (front of the body on lying on the mat) etc.

Flow concludes our movement principles.

The other principles are;

1.Control

2.Concentration

3.Centering

4.Precision

5.Breathing

Now it’s time to put them all into practice & develop your Pilates journey.
