What is nutrition healthcare?

Nutrition healthcare is all about optimising your nutrition ( what you put in your mouth) to benefit your health.

Now there’s tons of stuff out there, it can be quite baffling & confusing, depending on who’s writing articles & if they have any biases, or financial incentive to ‘push’ certain diets or products.

And there’s a lot that we don’t know yet, as nutrition is ever evolving.

What do we know that is reasearched & backed by science, that is easy to start & can maximise your nutrition healthcare?

Here’s 5 easy ways to start;

  1. Think about what you actually put in your mouth. Research shows that by paying attention to the food you’re eating, can actually make a big difference in losing fat, getting leaner & improving your nutrition healthcare.
  2. Now focus on the quality of the food you’re putting in your mouth. Look at the food, what better choices could you be making ? Ideally you want to aim for wholefoods, minimally processed that are packed with nutrients.
  3. Focusing on the quality of your foods, helps you eat more nutritious foods. This in turn means that you will eat more healthily, shifting away from processed foods. Processed foods are often low in nutrients, as they’ve lost most of them in the processing.
  4. When you put 1.2 & 3 into place, you will be eating more nutrient dense foods, which can mean that you’re more satisfied, you’re not suffering from cravings and you may end up eating less food overall. This can have great nutrition healthcare outcomes like gaining muscle, losing fat, moving better and certain conditions you may be sufferring from can improve like IBS (irritable Bowel syndrome), pre- diabetes or type 2 diabetes. **If you’re suffering from any conditions always get checked out by your healthare professional first, seek advice before making any changes**
  5. Making better food or nutrition healthcare choices, often goes hand in hand with looking at the exercise you’re doing, or maybe not doing ! Exercising regulalry can have huge benefits for you health, in terms of the way you look, how you feel – not all benefits are visable though like getting stronger, reducing visceral fat, improving bone density, benefitting cell function, the list goes on !

If you still feel a little stuck, there’s some great tips & ideas here.

Good luck – just focus on one meal, then go from there to start making better nutrition healthcare choices.
