We hear about mindfulness all the time.
But what is it?
It can be described in many ways, it can be described as paying attention purposefully, so you’re in the present moment & bringing an awareness to things.
It can be nothing at all, just a rediscovery or a remembering or reminding of nature.
Paying attention to an experience in the present moment, whilst letting yourself be open hearted & ‘spacious’ (spacious here means openness, getting rid of our minds being full & ‘set’ in old experiences & habits).
Mindfulness is;
Recognising your feelings, but not allowing yourself to be caught up in them.
Looking at yourself as you truely are, without mistakes.
A way to calm your thoughts down.
An effective means of relaxing.
Living more in the moment, rather than the past & future
A way to be more happy, that everyone can do.
Mindfulness is not;
Stopping thinking or emptying the mind
An escape from your personality
It’s not living your life without planning, you can plan in a mindful way and learn mindfully from the past.
